Genesis Production Association (GPA) is a Middle Tennessee State University student-run production organization that produces entertaining and informational programming primarily for MT10HD. Our productions are available to over 32,000 viewers in Rutherford County via MT10HD as well as unlimited viewers via web stream. Enjoy GPA's ongoing opportunities through hands-on learning into action by completing multiple film and video projects both educational and commercial. Develop the necessary teamwork skills to succeed in the industry by collaborating with fellow students on multidisciplinary assignments. Learn "on the job" during the production of various film and video projects. Fine-tune your film and TV production abilities by using industry-standard production equipment in large, modern studios, as well as on location, which will allow you to produce high-quality work. Try your hand at every part of the production process including writing, directing, shooting and editing. Bolster your post-production capabilities by working on a top of the line video editing stations that will bring projects to life. Round out your production education with training in business marketing, opportunities to connect with industry professionals, and field placement. The general purpose, focus and scope of GPA is as follows: - To serve as a forum in which any Middle Tennessee State University student, especially electronic media communication majors, can use the power of media production to educate and entertain themselves while informing and entertaining the community. - To work hand-in-hand with MT10HD to create informative and entertaining programming for students and the community. - To promote the growth of and to foster the continued interest in the electronic media communication and media production fields. - To provide experiences designed to develop the skills needed in all aspects of the media production business. - To provide members with an opportunity to network with professionals within the electronic media communication and media production fields. |
